Sandao "三嶋" in Chinese characters, which was also known as Sanyu (三嶼), was a Prehispanic Filipino nation recorded in Chinese annals as a nation occupying the islands of Jiamayan 加麻延 (present-day [[Calamianes|Calamian]]), Balaoyou 巴姥酉 (present-day [[Palawan Island|Palawan]]),<ref>Yang Bowen, Zhufan zhi jiaoshi (Beijing, 1996), p. 145</ref> and Pulihuan 蒲裏喚 (near present-day [[Manila]]).<ref>Hugh R.
