On the state level, the city lies in the 14th district of the [[Colorado Senate]], represented by [[Joann Ginal]] and is split between the 52nd and 53rd districts of the [[Colorado House of Representatives]], represented by [[Cathy Kipp]] and [[Andrew Boesenecker]], respectively. All three of Fort Collins' state legislators are Democrats. Fort Collins is additionally the county seat of [[Larimer County, Colorado|Larimer County]], and houses county offices and courts.
