=== Poverty ===
As of 2025, the [[World Food Programme|United Nations World Food Programme]] (WFP) reports that approximately 30% of Kyrgyzstan’s population lives in poverty, with an additional 10% at risk of falling below the poverty line. Despite a 9% GDP increase in 2024, economic growth has not translated into widespread poverty reduction. The WFP highlights vulnerability to both internal and external shocks, including high dependence on food imports, reduced remittances due to changing labor migration policies; particularly in [[Russia]]; and climate-related challenges such as drought and glacier melt.
