Maryland Route&nbsp;28, a state highway, connects Darnestown with Rockville and provides access to Interstate&nbsp;270.<ref name="CensusMapDarnestown"/> Other major roads in the Darnestown CDP are Germantown Road/Maryland Route 118, Seneca Road/Maryland 112, and River Road/Maryland Route 190.<ref name="CensusMapDarnestown"/> Maryland's Interstate 270 is a major north–south [[Interstate Highway System|interstate highway]] east of Darnestown that connects with Washington's Capital Beltway (a.k.a.
