== Sports == The Clark Sports Center is an {{cvt|110,000|sqft}} recreational center with {{convert|17|acre}} of outdoor fields established in 1986.<ref>{{Cite web|title=Outdoor Facilities|url=http://www.clarksportscenter.com/facilities/outdoor-facilities/|access-date=August 22, 2021|website=The Clark Sports Center|language=en-US}}</ref><ref name=":1">{{Cite web|title=Our History|url=http://www.clarksportscenter.com/about/our-history/|access-date=August 22, 2021|website=The Clark Sports Center|language=en-US}}</ref> The Hall of Fame induction is held annually at the center. The facility was renovated and expanded in 2013.<ref name=":1" /> Cooperstown retains a close connection with the baseball world, and "Cooperstown" has become synonymous with the Hall of Fame. Several nationally recognized tournaments are held in the area. Cooperstown Dreams Park in nearby Hartwick Seminary hosts 104 level U12 teams for weekly tournaments in the summer. Several professionals, including David Price and Matt Garza, have attended CDP. In 2010, Cooperstown got an official baseball team of its own, the Cooperstown Hawkeyes, a [[Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League]] team who play against many other teams from the northeast during the summer, with home games played at historic Doubleday Field. In 2014 the team was voluntarily suspended from the league.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Star |first=--The Daily |title=Hawkeyes leaving Doubleday; won't play in 2014 |url=https://www.thedailystar.com/sports/local_sports/hawkeyes-leaving-doubleday-wont-play-in-2014/article_b0297dee-73cf-5905-b129-b834eafc6ae4.html |access-date=April 22, 2022 |website=The Daily Star |language=en}}</ref>
