The poems herein were revised by Smith from their first appearances in ''The Star-Treader and Other Poems.'' Some copies have laid in the three page essay "The Price of Poetry", on Smith's verse, by David Warren Ryder, which was printed to accompany the book. According to the official Smith bibliography, the volume was also issued with a broadside, "Outlanders"  - a 1934 sonnet which made its first appearance in print here.<ref>S. T.Joshi, David E.
