[[Majid Al Futtaim Group|Majid Al Futtaim]] has handled the Carrefour operations in the [[Middle East and North Africa]] region since 1995, as the company opened the region's first [[hypermarket]] at [[City Centre Deira]] – it initially was a Continent-branded store before it converted to Carrefour four years later.
