==International cooperation==
In May 2024, the Belize Defence Force and [[Belize Coast Guard]] announced it would send 50 service members to [[Haiti]], working alongside forces from the [[Bahamas]], [[Jamaica]], [[Benin]], and [[Kenya]] to help the country deal with [[Gang war in Haiti|its nation-wide gang war]].
