[[Sleepy Hollow, New York]], as the setting for the story, contains many of the referenced locations, including ones that can still be visited today. [[Sleepy Hollow, Illinois]]; [[Sleepy Hollow, Marin County, California]]; and [[Sleepy Hollow, Wyoming]], have street names that reference the story.
