for Germany|AfD]] received the highest percentage of votes in Saxony, winning 31.8% of the ballots. The other states where AfD has become the strongest party are [[Thuringia]], [[Saxony-Anhalt]], [[Mecklenburg-Vorpommern]], and [[Brandenburg]]. These four states were part of [[East Germany]] like Saxony.
