Another Satanic conspiracy theory arose in the United States by 2017,<ref name="nymag">{{Cite news |last=Martineau |first=Paris |date=19 December 2017 |title=The Storm Is the New Pizzagate – Only Worse |work=[[New York (magazine)|New York]] |url=https://nymag.com/selectall/2017/12/qanon-4chan-the-storm-conspiracy-explained.html |access-date=26 March 2018 |issn=0028-7369}}</ref> with unsubstantiated allegations of organized Devil-worshippers in prominent positions committing sexual abuse, murder, and cannibalism. The source of such claims began within a far-right political movement, made by an anonymous individual or individuals known as "Q", which were relayed and developed by online communities and influencers.
