''R. keithii'' is an [[endemism|endemic species]] in [[Sabah]] and the largest among the three species of Rafflesia found in Sabah. The flower size is between 60&nbsp;cm to 80&nbsp;cm. Due to its size, the flower is generally found on the forest floor growing on the underground stem or root of ''Tetrastigma lanceolarium''.
