==Governance==
The recognised international governing body of netball is [[World Netball]], based in [[Manchester]], England.<ref name=TheSportsBook165/> Founded in 1960, the organisation was initially called the International Federation of Netball and Women's Basketball.<ref name=INF-History/> World Netball is responsible for compiling [[INF World Rankings|world rankings]] for national teams, maintaining the rules for netball and organising several major international competitions.
