===Interkosmos=== Interkosmos Interkosmos (ru) was a Soviet Union space exploration programme which allowed members from countries allied with the Soviet Union to participate in crewed and uncrewed space exploration missions. Participation was also made available to governments of countries such as France and India. Only the last three of the programme's fourteen missions consisted of an expedition to Mir but none resulted in an extended stay in the station: * Muhammed Faris β EP-1 (1987) Syria Turkey * Aleksandr Panayatov Aleksandrov β EP-2 (1988) Bulgaria * Abdul Ahad Mohmand β EP-3 (1988) Afghanistan
