In April 2012, on the premiere of [[MTV]]'s ''Hip Hop POV'', Carter sat down with [[Amanda Seales]] and spoke briefly about an album he put together titled ''Devol'' (loved, backwards), an album full of "love songs" that he wrote during his imprisonment at [[Rikers Island]]. Carter's once ongoing litigation with Cash Money prevented numerous completed projects from being released.
