Internet Explorer 11 is featured in [[Windows 8.1]], [[Windows Server 2012 R2]] and [[Windows RT|Windows RT 8.1]], which was released on October 17, 2013. It includes an incomplete mechanism for syncing tabs. Internet Explorer 11's [[user agent]] string now identifies the agent as "[[MSHTML|Trident]]" (the underlying browser engine) instead of "MSIE". It also announces compatibility with [[Gecko (software)|Gecko]] (the browser engine of [[Firefox]]).
