Toulouse-Lautrec's style was also influenced by the Ukiyo-e genre of Japanese woodblock prints, which became popular in the Parisian art world. On 20 August 2018, Toulouse-Lautrec was the featured artist on the BBC television programme Fake or Fortune?.
