==Awards and honours== {{main|List of awards and nominations received by Geoffrey Rush}} Rush has won what is known as the [[Triple Crown of Acting]], meaning an [[Academy Awards|Academy Award]], [[Tony Award]] and [[Emmy Award]], which represent film, theatre and television respectively. Over his career he has also received three [[British Academy Film Awards]], two [[Golden Globe Award]]s, and four [[Screen Actors Guild Award]]s. Rush received his [[Academy Award|Oscar]] for his performance in ''[[Shine (film)|Shine]]'' (1996). He has received three other nominations for his roles in ''[[Shakespeare in Love]]'' (1998), ''[[Quills (film)|Quills]]'' (2000), and ''[[The King's Speech]]'' (2010). For his work in television he received the [[Primetime Emmy Award]] for [[Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie|Outstanding Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie]] for his performance as [[Peter Sellers]] in ''[[The Life and Death of Peter Sellers]]'' (2003).
