The City of Evanston Parks and Recreation department operates about 20 facilities. Bear River Greenway is located near downtown, and offers a river walk that extends to Bear River State Park, ice skating in the winter, fishing in the summer, boat rentals, and a [[fitness trail]]. Sulphur Creek Reservoir offers boating and fishing.
