The city center is part of the College Park Historic District, a 606-acre [[historic district]] listed on the [[National Register of Historic Places]].<ref name="nrhp"/> The district contains 853 recognized historical resources constructed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.{{citation needed|date=August 2021}}
