Chorley town centre is bisected by the [[A6 road (Great Britain)|A6]] Roman road. It is located near to junctions 6 and 8 of the [[M61 motorway]] and junction 27 of the [[M6 motorway|M6]]; [[Charnock Richard services]] are sited within the borough.

The town's bus station, [[Chorley Interchange]], opened in February 2003, replacing an older building. * In March 2025, Many bus service changes happened in Chorley.
