Uzbekistan-based [[UzAuto Motors]] and Kyrgyz supplier DT Technikis are opening an assembly plant near Bishkek in the summer of 2024. Components will initially be imported from Uzbekistan, with plans to build components independently in the coming years. The plant will assemble Chevrolet and Isuzu vehicles. The Chevrolet brand has been licensed from GM. The plant will assemble 10,000 cars from [[Knock-down kit|semi-knocked-down kits]] within the first twenty months, with increased production expected.
