Written by [[Johnny Speight]] and broadcast 1965–1968 and 1972–1975, ''[[Till Death Us Do Part]]'' featured [[Warren Mitchell]] as [[Alf Garnett]] and was an instant hit. Centred on the bigoted character of Alf Garnett, it addressed racial and political issues that had been becoming increasingly prevalent in British society.
