The current {{convert|92000|sqft|sqm|adj=on}} facility, on a {{convert|20|acre|ha|adj=on}} campus, has 33 classrooms and capacity for about 750 students. The architect of the building was Bay Architects and the construction company was Falcon Group Construction. Construction began in the year 2000 and completion was scheduled for June 2001. The cost was $7.5 million. Classrooms are arranged in pods organized by grade level. Each pod has a commons area. The school has a lighthouse motif reflecting its proximity to the [[Galveston Bay]]. The school entrance has a frosted dome, pyramidal skylight. The previous school building was located on the same site.
