On November 6, 1968, comedian [[Bob Hope]] broadcast one of his [[variety show|variety]] [[television special]]s from NASA's [[Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center|Manned Spacecraft Center]] in Houston to honor the Apollo{{spaces}}7 crew.
