An ''anti-UAV defence system'' (AUDS) is a system for defence against military [[unmanned aerial vehicle]]s. Alternative approaches for dealing with UAVs have included using a shotgun at close range, and for smaller drones, training eagles to snatch them from the air.<ref name="popmech"/> This only works on relatively small UAVs and [[loitering munition]]s (also called "suicide drones").
