==Life expectancy and health== Of 3,142 counties in the United States in 2014, the [[Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation]] ranked Alfalfa County 840 in the average life expectancy at birth of male residents and 1,999 in the average life expectancy of female residents. Males in Alfalfa County lived an average of 77.2 years and females lived an average of 79.6 years compared to the national average for life expectancy of 76.7 for males and 81.5 for females. In 2014, Alfalfa Country was one of only two counties in Oklahoma (the other being [[Logan County, Oklahoma|Logan County]]) in which males had a longer life expectancy than the national average.
