==Demography== The population of the settlement of Stirling in the 2022 Census was 49,928,<ref>{{cite web | url=https://www.scotlandscensus.gov.uk/webapi/jsf/tableView/tableView.xhtml | title=Home }}</ref> which is very similar to the figure for the [[List of towns and cities in Scotland by population#Settlements|settlement]] in 2011 of 49,950. In 2022, the Stirling council area had a population of 92,600, reflecting a 2.6% increase from the 2011 census.
