===Cornwall Council=== Like St Ives Town Council, Cornwall Council is a statutory body incorporated by Act of Parliament. Cornwall Council is the second tier of local government in the area and is a unitary authority with a far wider range of powers. The Council deals with roads, street lighting, highways, social services, children and family care, schools and public libraries.<ref>{{cite web |title=Welcome |url=https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/ |website=Cornwall.gov.uk |access-date=22 June 2019}}</ref> From 2009 to 2021, St Ives parish was covered by three divisions, so electing three of the 123 councillors on the council.
