In 2002, BMG fully acquired [[J Records]], which it had founded in 2000 as a joint venture with [[Clive Davis]]. In April 2008, former Zomba Label Group president and CEO [[Barry Weiss]] was appointed chairman of the BMG Label Group, and Davis was named chief creative officer of Sony BMG worldwide.
