====Heading reconstruction==== In February 2021, the selection of oak trees to replace the flèche and roof timbers destroyed by the fire began. A thousand mature trees were chosen from the forests of France, each of a diameter of {{convert|50|to|90|cm|in}} and a height of {{convert|8|to|14|m|ft}}, and an age of several hundred years. Once cut, the trees had to dry for 12 to 18 months.
