The following schools fall within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Northwood:

[[Northwood High School (Ohio)|Northwood High School]] is a public [[High school (North America)|high school]] in Northwood.  It is the only high school in the Northwood Local Schools district. The current Northwood High School is located in Northwood Schools built in 2017.  At the end of the 2006–2007 school year, Northwood was awarded an "Excellent" rating by the state of Ohio in education. The graduation rate of the school district was just over the state minimum (90%), coming in at 90.5%. The overall attendance average of the district was also over the state minimum (93%) at 95.9%.
