===2010 census===
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,798 people, 669 households, and 493 families residing in the town. There were 756 housing units, of which 87, or 11.5%, were vacant. Of the 669 households, 35.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.7% were headed by [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.3% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.1% were someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.66, and the average family size was 3.13.<ref name="Census 2010 DP"/>

In the town, 25.4% of the population were under the age of 18, 7.9% were from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38.4 years. For every 100 females, there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.3 males.<ref name="Census 2010 DP"/>

For the period 2012–2016, the estimated median annual income for a household was $37,714, and the median income for a family was $40,313. The [[per capita income]] for the town was $18,105.
