Five Kuwait Airways [[Airbus A310|Airbus A310-200s]] were seized in 1990 and re-registered in Iraq as part of Iraqi Airways; however, these never flew any commercial flights for the airline.{{Cn|date=January 2025}} Iraqi Airways also ordered five Airbus A310-300s in the late 1980s, but war-related sanctions prevented their delivery.{{Cn|date=January 2025}}
