== Recreation == There are currently several recreational areas in Highland County. There is [[Rocky Fork State Park (Ohio)|Rocky Fork State Park]]<ref>{{Cite web|url = http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/rockyfork|title = Rocky Fork State Park}}</ref> which is located 5 miles east of [[Hillsboro, Ohio|Hillsboro]]. It provides opportunities to go [[camping]], [[fishing]], [[boating]], [[Human swimming|swimming]], [[hunting]], [[Miniature golf|putt-putt]], and [[disc golf]] amongst other activities. There is also [[Paint Creek State Park]]<ref>{{Cite web|url = http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/paintcreek|title = Paint Creek State Park}}</ref> located 13 miles east of Hillsboro. [[Paint Creek State Park|Paint Creek]] offers many of the same activities as [[Rocky Fork State Park (Ohio)|Rocky Fork]] but also offers [[horse riding]], [[mountain biking]], and winter recreational activities. [[Fort Hill State Memorial]] is a memorial built by the [[Hopewell tradition|Hopewell]] people that is located 10 miles southeast of [[Hillsboro, Ohio|Hillsboro]]<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.arcofappalachia.org/visit/fort-hill.html |title=Arc of Appalachia Preserve System |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140811142556/http://arcofappalachia.org/visit/fort-hill.html |archive-date=August 11, 2014 }}</ref> and is believed to be around 2000 years old.
