===Cobra automobile ownership===
In 1963, at the age of 23, Hancock purchased a new [[AC Cobra|1963 AC Shelby Cobra]] from a dealership in [[New York City]] for $6,000. He is still its owner and thus the longest owner of a Cobra. The car, serial number CSX2006, was the sixth Cobra ever produced, making it a rare and valuable vehicle. It is one of only 75 Cobras originally produced with a 260 cubic-inch engine and the only Cobra ever equipped with a two-barrel [[carburetor]]. The car has been estimated to be worth more than $2 million.
