Canonbury Road School, now Canonbury Primary School, opened in 1877.<ref>{{cite web|title=The History of Canonbury Primary School, Islington|url=http://www.locallocalhistory.co.uk/schools/canonbury/history1/index-m.htm|website=www.locallocalhistory.co.uk|publisher=The School Detective|access-date=19 October 2016}}</ref> It is a Community primary school taking boys and girls from 3 to 11 years of age.
