In 1995, Newhart was one of several investors in Rotijefco (a blend of his children's names), which bought radio station [[KZSB|KKSB]] ([[AM broadcasting|AM]] 1290&nbsp;kHz) in [[Santa Barbara, California]]. Newhart was an early home-computer hobbyist, purchasing the [[Commodore PET]] after its 1977 introduction.
