''Archie Andrews'' began on the [[Blue Network|NBC Blue Network]] on May 31, 1943, switched to [[Mutual Broadcasting System|Mutual]] in 1944, and then continued on [[NBC radio]] from 1945 until September 5, 1953. The program's original announcer was Kenneth Banghart, later succeeded by Bob Shepard (during the 1947β48 season, when [[Swift and Company]] sponsored the program) and Dick Dudley.
