==Politics==
Like most [[List of U.S. counties with Hispanic- or Latino-majority populations|majority-Hispanic counties]] in the [[Rio Grande Valley (Texas)|Rio Grande Valley]], Willacy is a staunchly [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democratic]] county. Eisenhower]]'s victories in [[1952 United States presidential election in Texas|1952]] and [[1956 United States presidential election in Texas|1956]].
