As of the [[2010 United States census|2010 census]], there were 31,731 people, 11,537 households, and 6,834 families residing in the city. The population density was {{convert|2477.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 12,514 housing units at an average density of {{convert|976.9|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 81.6% [[White (U.S. census)|White]], 2.7% [[African American (U.S. census)|African American]], 1.3% [[Native American (U.S. census)|Native American]], 1.4% [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.3% [[Race (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 9.1% from [[Race (U.S. census)|other races]], and 3.6% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. census)|Latino]] residents of any race were 22.0% of the population.<ref name="wwwcensusgov" />

The population density was 2,744.9 people per square mile (1,059.3/km<sup>2</sup>).  There were 11,400 housing units at an average density of 1,054.1 per square mile (406.8/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the city was 83.79% White, 2.58% African American, 1.05% Native American, 1.24% Asian, 0.23% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 8.26% from [[Race (United States census)|other races]], and 2.85% from two or more races.  Hispanic or Latino people of any race were 17.42% of the population.<ref name="wwwcensusgov" />

There were 10,596 households, of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.4% were married couples living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.4% were other forms of households. 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
