Most of the province has a [[Mediterranean climate|hot summer Mediterranean climate]] ([[Köppen climate classification|Köppen]]: ''Csa''), but also found is a [[Semi-arid climate|cold semi-arid climate]] (''BSk'') including the capital [[Larissa]] (on its [[Mediterranean climate|Mediterranean]] edge of category).
