A pilot episode was filmed of an American version of ''The Young Ones'', titled ''[[Oh, No! Not THEM!]]''. It featured Planer as Neil and [[Jackie Earle Haley]],<ref name="Holly Powell Studios">{{cite web |url=http://www.hollypowellstudios.com/credits.html |title=Pilots & Series |work=Hollypowellstudios.com |access-date=21 October 2011}}</ref> and had a [[Clay animation|claymation]] opening credit sequence. The [[Fox Broadcasting Company|Fox]] network did not pick up the series. It was produced by [[David Mirkin]].<ref name="Holly Powell Studios"/>
