As of March 2011, there were a total of 6,776 registered voters in River Edge, of which 1,961 (28.9% vs. 31.7% countywide) were registered as [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]], 1,329 (19.6% vs. 21.1%) were registered as [[Republican Party (United States)|Republicans]] and 3,485 (51.4% vs. 47.1%) were registered as [[Unaffiliated (New Jersey)|Unaffiliated]].
