The path of the [[Spanish High Speed]] ([[AVE]]) in the province of Valladolid has stops in the towns of [[Valladolid]], [[Olmedo, Spain|Olmedo]] and [[Medina del Campo]] as part of the following lines: [[Madrid–Valladolid high-speed rail line]], Madrid–León high-speed rail line, [[Madrid–Galicia high-speed rail line]] and the "bypass" near Olmedo, which is under construction and will connect the Madrid-Valladolid line with the Madrid-Galicia line.<ref>[https://www.elnortedecastilla.es/valladolid/baipas-conectara-olmedo-alta-velocidad-valladolid-galicia-20240801135155-nt.html Así será el baipás que conectará en Olmedo la alta velocidad entre Valladolid y Galicia] El Norte de Castilla (1 de agosto de 2024) [in Spanish]</ref> The future [[Atlantic Core Network Corridor|Atlantic Corridor]] (CORR 7), which belongs to the basic network of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), will be a passenger and freight rail corridor connecting the ports of the Atlantic coast with the interior and the rest of Europe. It should be completed before 2031.

There is one publicly owned railway company operating: the Spanish national [[Renfe]] that operates long-distance and high speed rail services ([[AVE]], [[Avant (train)|Avant]] and [[Talgo]]).
