[[Interstate 84 in New York|Interstate 84]] passes to the south. Port Jervis is the [[Port Jervis (Metro-North station)|last stop]] on the {{Convert|95|mi|km|adj=mid|-long}} [[Port Jervis Line]], which is a commuter railroad service from [[Hoboken, New Jersey]] and New York City (via a [[Secaucus Junction|Secaucus Transfer]]) that is contracted to [[New Jersey Transit|NJ Transit]] by the [[Metro-North Railroad]] of the [[Metropolitan Transportation Authority]]. The track itself continues on to [[Binghamton, New York|Binghamton]] and [[Buffalo, New York|Buffalo]], but passenger service west of Port Jervis was discontinued in November 1966.
