As of March 2011, there were a total of 2,162 registered voters in Pohatcong Township, of which 583 (27.0% vs. 21.5% countywide) were registered as [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]], 595 (27.5% vs. 35.3%) were registered as [[Republican Party (United States)|Republicans]] and 983 (45.5% vs. 43.1%) were registered as [[Unaffiliated (New Jersey)|Unaffiliated]].
