==Honours== The [[National Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame]] inducted Shaffer in 2002 for his part in opening doors in the entertainment industry for African-Americans.<ref>{{cite web |title=Black Hall of Fame Welcomes Legends |first=Jasmin K. |last=Williams |date=August 29, 2002 |work=New York Post|url=https://nypost.com/2002/08/29/black-hall-of-fame-welcomes-legends/|access-date=August 14, 2022}}</ref> Shaffer was inducted into the [[Order of Canada]], Canada's highest honour, in 2007.<ref name=cm/> In May 2015, the [[Ride of Fame]] honoured Shaffer with a double-decker sightseeing bus in New York City to commemorate his long run as the leader of the CBS Orchestra for the ''Late Show with David Letterman''.<ref>{{cite web|title=NYC Sightseeing Bus Honors 'Late Show' Band Leader Paul Shaffer|date=May 5, 2015 |publisher=CBS|url=http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/05/05/paul-shaffer-bus/|access-date=May 5, 2015}}</ref> In 2010, Shaffer appeared with [[Bachman & Turner]] at the [[Roseland Ballroom]] in New York.
