Their decision, which cannot be appealed, is announced immediately after the vote.<ref name="Levinovitz25-28">[[Nobel Prize#Levinovitz69|Levinovitz]], pp. 25β28.</ref> A maximum of three laureates and two different works may be selected per award. Except for the Peace Prize, which can be awarded to institutions, the awards can only be given to individuals.<ref name="Abrams8">[[#Abrams|Abrams]], p. 8</ref> The winners are announced by the awarding institutions during the first two weeks of October.
