The music for the film was composed by [[A. R. Rahman]], marking his fourth collaboration with Gowariker, after ''[[Lagaan]]'', ''[[Swades]]'', and ''[[Jodhaa Akbar]]''. The lyrics were penned by [[Javed Akhtar]]. The music rights were acquired by [[T-Series (company)|T-Series]].

The soundtrack consists of eight tracks, namely, "Mohenjo Mohenjo", "Sindhu Ma", "Sarsariya", "[[Tu Hai]]", "Whispers Of The Mind", "Whispers Of The Heart", "The Shimmer Of Sindhu", and "Lakh Lakh Thora".
